yume, genjitsu - Dream And Reality
"Since 2006 I am taking pictures of teens and adults, who are interested in Manga, Anime, science-fiction novels, fantasy, LARP, comics, some of them love to dress up as their favorite character for special occasions… The project started with the series "yume, genjitsu - dream and reality.".
I worked always digital and analog at the same time. I wanted to generate a real dreamworld, where fiction and reality cannot be separated from each other. The costumes are not the daily outfits. The locations are real, the analog part of the project is my portfolio "DREAMERS"
More than 1000 people – have taken part. I have no idea how many have really been involved in the meantime. I simply stopped counting. People (age range 11- 85 years) from Austria, Germany, UK, Hungary, Spain, Israel, Thailand, India, USA … have participated so far. I am not a cosplayer or a roleplayer. Really, I do not own one single cosplay, I do not even dress up for carnival,… but I got fascinated by the fact how much passion is involved in the love for anime, films, fiction, comics, mangas.
